Le Moscow Mule ne prévient pas. Il arrive froid, nerveux, presque insolent. Un peu comme croquer dans un morceau de gingembre frais sans être prêt. Ça pique, ça surprend, ça te réveille jusqu’au fond du crâne. Y a des cocktails qui s'installent doucement. Qui prennent la place comme une conversation polie. Et puis il y a ceux qui te chopent par le col. Le Moscow Mule, c’est clairement de ceux-là.  Pourquoi je t’écris ça: Parce qu’hier soir, j’ai ouvert une ginger beer bien frappée. Parce qu’un citron vert roulait sur la table comme un dé. Parce qu’une bouteille de vodka me regardait avec l’air de dire : vas-y, tente quelque chose. Et surtout parce que la première gorgée m’a rappelé un truc précis : les premières fois où on goûte quelque chose qui réveille plus que ça ne désaltère. Le Mule, c’est ça. Il y a des vins qui murmurent. Le Sauvignon, lui, te regarde droit dans les yeux. Presque insolent. Je ne sais pas exactement quand ça a commencé. Peut-être un verre trop froid, un soir d’été un peu trop chaud. Ou ce moment précis où quelqu’un a dit : “tu sens le buis ?” et que j’ai répondu oui, sans vraiment savoir ce que c’était, le buis. Depuis, le Sauvignon me fascine . Parce qu’il ne fait pas semblant. Parce qu’il divise. Parce qu’il sent fort, parfois trop, parfois juste comme il faut. Comme ces gens qu’on n’oublie pas. Le Sauvignon, c’est une claque verte. Une poignée d’herbe froissée entre les doigts. Un zeste de pamplemousse éclaté sur une planche en bois encore humide.
