Le premier verre à vin n’était pas un verre. C’était une promesse mal taillée. Un truc épais, irrégulier, un peu brut. Un contenant plus qu’un écrin. Un objet qui disait juste : “tiens, bois ça”. Et pourtant… tout commence là. Je t’écris ça un dimanche soir, verre à la main (évidemment), avec une lumière un peu dorée qui traverse la pièce comme dans un vieux film de Terrence Malick, tu vois le genre. Et je me suis surpris à faire un truc bizarre : observer mon verre, pas le vin, le verre, sa courbe, sa finesse. La façon dont il capte la lumière, comme une bulle suspendue. Et je me suis dit : mais à quel moment on est passé de la coupe grossière au bijou de précision ? Au début, on buvait… comme on pouvait. Remontons, très loin : Les premières civilisations, Mésopotamie, Égypte, ne buvaient pas dans des verres. Elles buvaient dans ce qu’elles avaient sous la main: des coupes en argile, en métal, parfois en pierre. Des objets lourds,  rustiques, pas franchemen...
