Le vin a toujours aimé les histoires de verre. Pas celles qu’on raconte dans les salons feutrés avec des mots compliqués. Non. Les vraies histoires. Celles qui sentent la suie, les ports humides, les mains brûlées par les fours et les tavernes pleines de bruit. Et l’une des plus belles… c’est celle de la bouteille. Pourquoi diable une bouteille de vin fait 75 centilitres ? Spoiler : ce n’est pas un caprice de Sommelier. C’est une histoire de souffleurs de verre, de marins anglais et de bon sens très terrien. Avant la bouteille, le vin voyageait… comme il pouvait. Imagine un monde sans bouteilles. Pas de rangées élégantes dans les caves. Pas de bouchon qui saute. Pas de verre qui chante. 21 crans, pas 20, pas 22, Vingt-et-un. La prochaine fois que tu ouvres une bière, prends deux secondes. Regarde la capsule. Cette petite couronne de métal que tu fais sauter sans y penser. Et derrière ces 21 crans… il y a une histoire de génie, de mousse, d’industrialisation… et d’obsession humaine pour les détails. Une histoire que j'adore. Le petit bruit du “psshhht”. Il y a des boissons qui rafraîchissent. Et puis il y a celles qui racontent une histoire. Le kir fait clairement partie de la deuxième catégorie. Un apéritif né d’un curé. Quand on commande un kir au comptoir d’un bistrot, on ne pense pas forcément à l’homme derrière le verre. Pourtant, ce petit mélange de blanc et de cassis porte le nom d’un personnage assez incroyable : Félix Kir, un curé, résistant, maire et grande gueule. L’Américain qui ne l’est pas vraiment.  Il y a des verres qui sentent la rue pavée de Milan un soir d’été, le parfum des agrumes pressés, et le léger frisson de la première gorgée qui pique la langue. L’Americano , c’est ça. Une danse douce-amère qui te fait sourire avant même d’avoir bu. Un peu d’histoire, mais pas trop académique : Alors, ça date de 1860. Oui, tu peux lever les yeux au ciel et te dire “encore un vieux cocktail italien”, mais attends, laisse-moi t’emmener.
