Le bleu, parfois, ça a le goût des vacances qu’on n’a pas encore prises. J’ai bu mon premier Swimming Pool un soir où je n’avais rien demandé à personne. Une terrasse un peu kitsch. Des lumières qui clignotent comme si elles hésitaient entre Ibiza et un mariage en Dordogne.Et ce verre, bleu, crémeux, presque suspect. Le genre de cocktail que les puristes regardent de travers. Le genre de cocktail que moi, j’ai appris à aimer justement pour ça. Le Swimming Pool, c’est une carte postale liquide. Mais pas une carte postale parfaite.Plutôt celle qu’on garde froissée dans un livre, avec du sable encore collé dedans. But not the artificial candy kind that assaults your sinuses. More like flambéed pineapple, pineapple in hot syrup, almost like an upside-down pie that's spent five minutes on a barbecue . Le Grenache, c’est ce pote solaire qui débarque en retard au dîner avec une chemise ouverte, des olives plein les doigts et une histoire d’amour à raconter. Tu sais qu’il va prendre toute la place à table. Et franchement… tant mieux. Ce cépage-là ne murmure jamais, il danse. Il y a des vins qu’on respecte. Et puis il y a ceux qu’on a envie d'embrasser. Le Grenache fait partie de la deuxième catégorie. Je crois que je suis tombé amoureux de lui un soir d’orage dans le Sud.
