🍇: Syrah, Grenache

.

👀: In the glass, it's bright, a cherry red that catches the light. It looks light and joyful, but you can sense a slightly more serious side lurking.

👃: The nose is a basket of red fruits that's been shaken too hard: fresh cherry, raspberry, a hint of redcurrant, and behind it, a slightly deeper, slightly peppery breath, reminding you that the Drôme still has one foot in the south.

👄: On the palate, it starts off with a bang: a fruit that pops like a cherry bitten into. The texture is fluid but not elusive, with round tannins that caress rather than bite. It's juicy, fresh, and has a hint of spice. A balance that makes you want to come back for more without thinking.

👀:Dans le verre, c’est brillant, un rouge cerise qui accroche la lumière. Ça a l’air léger et joyeux, mais on sent qu’il y a un petit côté plus sérieux qui plane.

👃: Le nez, c’est un panier de fruits rouges qu’on a secoué trop fort : cerise fraîche, framboise, un soupçon de groseille, et derrière, un souffle un peu plus profond, légèrement poivré, qui rappelle que la Drôme a toujours un pied dans le sud.

. 

👄 : En bouche, ça démarre cash : un fruit qui claque comme une cerise croquée à pleines dents. La matière est fluide mais pas fuyante, avec des tanins ronds qui caressent plutôt qu’ils ne mordent. C’est juteux, frais, et la petite pointe épicée. Un équilibre qui donne envie d’y revenir sans réfléchir.

Accords mets et vin : entrecôte saignante au barbecue, pizza margherita bien parfumée au basilic,mousse au chocolat noir,

Ici, on n’est pas dans le tape-à-l’œil. Les vins ont ce côté franc, direct, lumineux, comme un pote qui te regarde droit dans les yeux quand il trinque. On y retrouve la Drôme dans toute sa largeur : la fraîcheur du mistral, les fruits rouges qui claquent comme un panier d’été, et cette petite pointe épicée qui te rappelle que le sud n’est jamais loin.

Ici, pas besoin de maquillage : ça coule net, ça respire le terroir, beaucoup de chaleur, et une authenticité qui fait du bien.

Le Domaine Escalin, c’est l’art de faire des vins vrais, qui racontent leur terre mais avec le sourire en prime.
