En bouche on a un vin avec une belle rondeur, de la gourmandise, un vin moelleux sans que le sucre prenne le dessus sur les fruits. Un équilibre parfait. Sur des arômes d'ananas, miel, confiture d'abricot doré au soleil, agrumes (citron, pomélos) qui emmènent de la fraîcheur en bouche. Une bonne longueur avec une finale sur des notes de mangue et de Kumquats.

Situé au cœur du Jurançon sur la commune de Monein, entre Pyrénées et Atlantique, le vignoble de Cauhapé s’étend sur 54 hectares généreusement exposés sud-est. Découvrez le travail à la vigne et au chai tout au long de l’année.
Les premières vignes furent plantées dès 1558. Représentant à l’époque seulement quelques arpents, le vignoble de Cauhapé s’étend aujourd’hui sur 54 hectares. Ce terroir unique bénéficiant d’une climatologie bien particulière est idéal pour la production de vins blancs très aromatiques.
Le sol, constitué en majorité d’argile et de silice, permet à nos cépages autochtones d’exprimer leur plein potentiel. Les vignes sont escarpées et plantées à flanc de colline, à des altitudes variables allant jusqu’à 400 mètres.
L’importante amplitude thermique du jour et de la nuit durant la fin de l’été et l’automne contribue à préserver cette acidité si précieuse qui affirme le caractère unique de nos vins.

An expressive nose with notes of apricot, green apple, honey

On the palate we have a wine with a nice roundness, delicacy, a mellow wine without the sugar taking over the fruits. A perfect balance. With aromas of pineapple, honey, apricot jam browned in the sun, citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit) which bring freshness to the mouth. A good length with a finish on notes of mango and Kumquats.

Located in the heart of Jurançon in the town of Monein, between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic, the Cauhapé vineyard extends over 54 hectares generously facing south-east. Discover the work in the vineyard and in the cellar throughout the year.
The first vines were planted in 1558. Representing only a few acres at the time, the Cauhapé vineyard now covers 54 hectares. This unique terroir benefiting from a very particular climatology is ideal for the production of very aromatic white wines.
The soil, made up mostly of clay and silica, allows our native grape varieties to express their full potential. The vines are steep and planted on hillsides, at varying altitudes of up to 400 meters.
The significant thermal amplitude of day and night during the end of summer and autumn helps to preserve this precious acidity which affirms the unique character of our wines.

Al palato abbiamo un vino di bella rotondità, delicatezza, un vino morbido senza che lo zucchero prenda il sopravvento sui frutti. Un equilibrio perfetto. Con aromi di ananas, miele, confettura di albicocche dorate al sole, agrumi (limone, pompelmo) che donano freschezza alla bocca. Di buona lunghezza con un finale su note di mango e kumquat.

Le prime viti furono piantate nel 1558. Rappresentando solo pochi acri all'epoca, il vigneto Cauhapé ora copre 54 ettari. Questo terroir unico che beneficia di una climatologia molto particolare è ideale per la produzione di vini bianchi molto aromatici.
Il terreno, composto per la maggior parte da argilla e silice, permette ai nostri vitigni autoctoni di esprimere tutto il loro potenziale. Le viti sono ripide e piantate in collina, ad altitudini variabili fino a 400 metri.
La notevole ampiezza termica del giorno e della notte durante la fine dell'estate e dell'autunno aiuta a preservare questa preziosa acidità che afferma il carattere unico dei nostri vini.
