Une terre d’escale
Haut lieu d’œnotourisme aujourd’hui, l’immense territoire de Lastours était déjà une terre d’escale au cœur des Corbières à l’aube du premier millénaire. Des garnisons y stationnaient et une forteresse veillait sur les chemins ruraux rejoignant la voie Domitienne. Afin d’accueillir le voyageur, un castrum fut alors édifié. Son nom, Castrum de Turribus, est devenu avec le temps le Château de Lastours, se référant aux tours de guets qui surplombaient la voie Domitienne à cet endroit particulièrement dangereux. Du XIIIe siècle à la Révolution, ces terres de polyculture (bois, bétail, céréales, vignes) inféodées aux vicomtes de Narbonne ne connaîtront que trois familles de propriétaires, de riches seigneurs qui vivaient très confortablement au château.
En 1940, Lastours devient la propriété de l’écrivain Louis-Pierre Lestringuez qui souhaite s’éloigner d’un Paris occupé. Si famille et amis sont protégés durant la guerre, l’immense propriété est négligée, et le château et son vignoble déclinent progressivement. En 2004, une famille de passionnés s’éprend de cette belle terre délaissée. Pratiques bios, sélections parcellaires, économies d’énergie, œnotourisme : le travail précis mené par la famille Allard est à la hauteur de ce terroir et de sa longue histoire. En 2020, une nouvelle page s’écrit pour Lastours, avec l’arrivée de Thibaut de Braquilanges, enfant du pays avec une longue expérience internationale. Il s’attèle avec toute son équipe à faire rayonner les vins et les activités du Château de Lastours tant en France qu’à l’étranger.

A land of stopover
A hotspot for wine tourism today, the immense territory of Lastours was already a land of stopover in the heart of the Corbières at the dawn of the first millennium. Garrisons were stationed there and a fortress watched over the rural roads joining the Domitian way. In order to welcome the traveler, a castrum was then built. Its name, Castrum de Turribus, has become over time the Château de Lastours, referring to the watchtowers which overlooked the Domitian way at this particularly dangerous place. From the 13th century to the Revolution, these lands of polyculture (timber, cattle, cereals, vines) subservient to the viscounts of Narbonne only knew three families of owners, rich lords who lived very comfortably in the castle.
In 1940, Lastours became the property of the writer Louis-Pierre Lesstringuez who wanted to get away from occupied Paris. If family and friends are protected during the war, the immense property is neglected, and the castle and its vineyard gradually decline. In 2004, a family of enthusiasts fell in love with this beautiful abandoned land. Organic practices, parcel selections, energy savings, wine tourism: the precise work carried out by the Allard family lives up to this terroir and its long history. In 2020, a new page is being written for Lastours, with the arrival of Thibaut de Braquilanges, a native of the country with a long international experience. He works with his entire team to promote the wines and activities of Château de Lastours both in France and abroad.

Una terra di sosta
Punto di riferimento dell'enoturismo di oggi, l'immenso territorio di Lastours era già all'alba del primo millennio terra di sosta nel cuore delle Corbières. Vi erano di stanza delle guarnigioni e una rocca vigilava sulle strade campestri che si univano alla via Domiziana. Per accogliere il viaggiatore fu poi costruito un castrum. Il suo nome, Castrum de Turribus, è diventato nel tempo Château de Lastours, in riferimento alle torri di avvistamento che si affacciavano sulla via Domiziana in questo luogo particolarmente pericoloso. Dal XIII secolo alla Rivoluzione, queste terre di policoltura (legname, bestiame, cereali, viti) sottomesse ai visconti di Narbonne conoscevano solo tre famiglie di proprietari, ricchi signori che vivevano molto comodamente nel castello.
Nel 1940, Lastours divenne proprietà dello scrittore Louis-Pierre Lessringuez che voleva allontanarsi dalla Parigi occupata. Se la famiglia e gli amici sono protetti durante la guerra, l'immensa proprietà viene trascurata, e il castello e la sua vigna declinano gradualmente. Nel 2004 una famiglia di appassionati si è innamorata di questa bellissima terra abbandonata. Pratiche biologiche, selezioni parcellari, risparmio energetico, enoturismo: il preciso lavoro svolto dalla famiglia Allard è all'altezza di questo terroir e della sua lunga storia. Nel 2020 si scrive una nuova pagina per Lastours, con l'arrivo di Thibaut de Braquilanges, nativo del paese con una lunga esperienza internazionale.
