🍇: Chardonnay

.

👀: The color is pale, bright like a September dawn. It catches the light with a slight silvery sheen. Clear and clean, but with a density that makes you say: OK, this is hiding something.

👃: It immediately leads to Williams pear and a hint of lime. Then, behind it, it rounds out: a hint of acacia honey, opening white flowers, toasted almonds. And the deeper you dive, the more you pick up a mineral aroma, almost like sun-baked stone. As if an orchard had been planted on a granite terrace.

👄: A frank but not aggressive attack. A taut, lively texture, with a straight-ahead energy. There's crisp pear, tangy citrus, then a rounder, almost buttery aftertaste that coats the tongue. And the finish? Salty, clean, and leaves your mouth watering.

🍇 : Chardonnay

👀: La robe est pâle, brillante comme une aube de septembre. Ça accroche la lumière avec un petit reflet argenté. Limpide et nette, mais avec une densité qui te fait dire : ok, ça cache un truc.

👃: Ça envoie direct sur la poire Williams et un zeste de citron vert. Puis derrière, ça s’arrondit : un petit côté miel d’acacia, fleurs blanches qui s’ouvrent, amandes grillées. Et plus tu plonges, plus tu chopes un parfum minéral, presque pierre chauffée au soleil. Comme si un verger s’était installé en terrasse de granit

👄 : Attaque franche, mais pas agressive. Texture tendue, nerveuse, avec une énergie qui file droit. Y’a de la poire croquante, de l’agrume acidulé, puis un retour plus rond, presque beurré, qui tapisse la langue. Et la finale ? Saline, nette, qui te laisse saliver.

The Striffling family has been cultivating their patch of granite for generations, but without ever thinking of themselves as guardians of a temple. Their thing? To let the earth speak, without fuss, letting the vines sing their own voice.

When you taste their wines, you feel like opening the shutters on a clear morning: they pulse with fruit, they burst with freshness, but always with that mineral, straightforward base that reminds you of where they come from. These are straightforward, luminous bottles, in which you sense both the rigor of the granite and the generosity of those who make them.

Le Domaine Striffling, c’est un peu comme un vieux pote de campagne qui t’accueille dans la vigne, sourire franc, verre à la main.

Ici, on est à Quincié-en-Beaujolais, au pied des collines qui sentent la pierre chaude et les herbes sauvages. La famille Striffling cultive son coin de granit depuis des générations, mais sans jamais se prendre pour des gardiens de temple. Leur truc ? Faire parler la terre, sans chichi, en laissant les ceps chanter leur accent.

Quand tu goûtes leurs vins, t’as l’impression d’ouvrir les volets sur un matin clair : ça pulse de fruit, ça claque de fraîcheur, mais toujours avec ce fond minéral, droit, qui rappelle d’où ça vient.
