🍇: 100% Syrah (40 years old)

. 

👀: In the glass, it's a straightforward, deep, almost velvety red. You can tell it's young, but already well-structured. The Syrah is in its prime, not overly muscular, but rather athletic

👃: The nose arrives unexpectedly. First, crisp black fruit: blackberry, blackcurrant, a still-fresh, vibrant juice. Then it slowly darkens: black pepper, olive, a hint of licorice, like a deliberate nod to the Rhône Valley

👄: On the palate, the attack is supple and immediate. Not a slap in the face, more like a hug. The wine glides and unfolds. The fruit is clean and juicy, supported by a well-balanced spicy structure. The tannins are fine, already polished, like a leather jacket worn just the right amount. The balance is perfect: freshness, lusciousness, and length without heaviness. The finish leaves a peppery, almost saline trace that makes you want to come back for more. Another glass. Then another.

Un Crozes-Hermitage 2023 gourmand, franc, vivant. Un vin qui fait du bien sans en faire trop.

🍇 : 100% Syrah (40 ans) 

. 

👀: Dans le verre, c’est un rouge franc, profond, presque velours. On sent que c’est jeune, mais déjà bien posé. La Syrah en pleine forme, pas bodybuildée, plutôt athlétique.

👃: Le nez, lui, arrive sans prévenir. D’abord le fruit noir croquant, mûre, cassis, un jus encore frais qui claque. Puis ça s’assombrit doucement : poivre noir, olive, une pointe de réglisse, comme un clin d’œil rhodanien assumé.

. 

👄 : En bouche, l’attaque est souple, immédiate. Pas de gifle, plutôt une accolade. Le vin glisse, déroule. Le fruit est net, juteux, soutenu par une trame épicée bien dosée. Les tanins sont fins, déjà bien polis, comme un blouson en cuir porté juste ce qu’il faut. L’équilibre est là : fraîcheur, gourmandise, longueur sans lourdeur. La finale laisse une trace poivrée, presque saline, qui donne envie d’y retourner. Encore un verre. Puis un autre.

Accords mets et vin : Je l’imagine parfaitement avec une côte de porc grillée, un jus réduit un peu sauvage, ou même un burger bien fait, cheddar affiné, oignons confits.

Le Domaine Mucyn, c’est une maison qui ne cherche pas la lumière à tout prix. Elle est là, posée, ancrée dans le nord de la vallée du Rhône, avec cette élégance un peu discrète de ceux qui savent ce qu’ils font et n’ont rien à prouver. Ici, on travaille le vin comme on cultive une relation : avec attention, patience et une vraie sincérité. Ce qui me frappe chez Mucyn, c’est cette façon de laisser parler la Syrah sans la déguiser. Les vins ont une colonne vertébrale, une fraîcheur naturelle, un grain de tanin qui te parle doucement à l’oreille plutôt que de te crier dessus. Ça sent le vent dans les vignes, la terre encore fraîche au petit matin, le raisin cueilli au bon moment.
